demon eyes
you sit alone, counting marks upon the wall,
losing time, as fear surrounds your every thought
you’ve got a gift a curse with everything considered
ashamed and proud, you know no one will ever believe you

you see the monsters hiding behind the open doors,
the lost souls, the demon and the prodigals,
they get so close, you feel their breath it chills your spine,
they love you so, so much that they’re going to take your life

you’re terrified, shaking like summer in the fall,
tell me quick, let me know before you lose it all,
your demon eyes are open, catching everything we can not be,
so tell me won’t you? tell me what do you see?

you see the pictures move, but no one’s ever there
scratches upon the wall, voices that fill the air,
marks left on your shoulders they’re moving down,
between the lines they’ve crossed, you’re slowly breaking down

you look for every option, excuses fuel exhaustion,
nobody knows what’s going on with you, and you just can’t explain,
